The epoch-making event was organized by the National Council of Women Societies (NCWS) in collaboration with the office of the First Lady of the Federation.

Carnival floats by women from all works of life across the states of the Federation and the FCT took off at 10 am, from old parade ground, to area1, berger, wuse, nnpc towers rounding off at the eagle square
The colourful event featured performances by popular artistes, including Onyeka Onwenu and kc of the Limpopo craze.

Though a lot of “Abujans” had a great time, cheering for the floats, taking pictures and even dancing with the traditional troupes there were quite a few disgruntled people due to the traffic caused.
